Room description
Hello everyone!
We are Julia and Michel, two professionals from Austria who have recently moved to Killiney. We have rented a beautiful house in Ballinclea, with an extra room for someone to live in. We have lived in shared flats all our adult lives and would like to do so in Ireland, too.
Your room is about 16m2 and fully furnished. We share the bathroom, kitchen and living room on the ground floor. The flat is also fully equipped. All you would need to bring are your personal belongings. And a bike makes live easier ;)
The house has a nice garden and a terrace. The beach (Forty Foot and Sandy Cove) is 10 minutes away by bike. The nearest station of the Dart is Glenageary or Dalkey (5-10 minutes by bike). Various supermarkets are close by (by bike). Furthermore, the Dart takes you to the centre of Dublin (Tara Station) in 30 minutes.
What we love about the area is the proximity to nature. Killiney Hill, with beautiful views of Dublin and the sea, is a 10-minute walk away; there are several beaches (our favourite is White Rock) and even rock climbing opportunities (Dalkey Quarry).
Julia works as a German teacher at Trinity College. Michel works for the Austrian Alpine Association. We've both travelled a lot and like meeting people. We like to cook together, play a game or go on an excursion. But it's just as important to us that everyone can enjoy their privacy. When we live together in the house, it's important to us that everyone feels comfortable.
